Cromwell man arrested on sexual assault charges

The Southington Police Department has arrested a Cromwell man on sexual assault charges.

On Thursday, June 20, Benjamin Hughes, 20, of 17 Hicksville Rd., Cromwell, was charged with first degree sexual assault, risk of injury/impairing the morals of a minor and fourth degree sexual assault. He was held on a $250,000 bond with a June 21 court date.

Details of the charges were ordered sealed by the court.

Southington Police arrested Hughes at his residence in Cromwell without incident.
