Who will be crowned Miss Connecticut or Miss Connecticut’s Outstanding Teen?

B. Ideally, with the work that we are doing today I hope that pediatric cancer is eradicated completely. However, if that is not the case, I will be working as a pediatric oncology nurse at Connecticut Children’s Medical Center and caring for patients and their families during their battle with cancer. I hope to be a wife and mother, and will be continuing my work to raise funds and awareness for pediatric cancer research.

C. She would say that I am hardworking, strong, trustworthy, and fun to be with. She would describe me as a determined young lady, and tell you that once I set my mind on something, I try my hardest to achieve it. She would also say that I am inspirational, and a good friend.

A. I hope that people will become more inspired to go out and follow their dreams. Since I was a young girl, I wanted to be Miss Bristol, so I made a goal setting plan for myself to make my dream come true. This is what inspired me to create my personal platform, SMART Goals, which is about creating goals that are Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, and Time manageable. By living out my year as Miss Bristol, I hope I served as an example for others to follow when they begin goal setting for themselves.

B. I still see myself running around, busy with different responsibilities. In 20 years, I’ll be 40 which pretty far into the future. But I hope after I graduate college I will find a job at a news station and hopefully make my way up to becoming an on air talent. My career goal is to become a news anchor and that is something I am willing to work very hard for. I also hope to remain connected to my community in the future no matter where I end up. I see my life as full and fulfilling between my career, my family, and my friends. At the end of the day, I hope in the future that I wake up each morning feeling excited and lead a life filled with success, happiness, and love.

C. I’m loyal. When I say I am a dedicated person, I mean in all aspects of my life, friends included. Friendships are a sacred thing. Life is a team sport, you don’t do this alone. You need a team behind you to help you through the good and the bad times of your life. My friends often say to me, “I don’t know how you do as much as you do in one day.” Those are the times when they would call me motivated. But at the end of the day, everything I do is worth it in the end when one of my friends tells me that my motivation inspires them to become committed to something. You know you are creating healthy and lasting relationships with your friends when those friendships allow both of you to become better people.

A. As Miss Connecticut’s Outstanding Teen, I would have promoted my issue of concern “Providing Sports and Recreational Opportunities for Special Needs Children” all across the state. This way, cities and towns who did not have opportunities for special needs children now can implement programs after I spoke to them about the benefits sports and recreational activities have on children with disabilities. Also, with numerous fundraisers and events, equipment would be purchased for organizations that provide activities for special needs children. This way, the programs can continue to impact the lives of children with disabilities. Plus, with the various appearances Miss Connecticut’s Outstanding Teen must make, I would have encountered many people of all ages and all backgrounds, and this way, I was able to learn so much about our state of Connecticut. I would hope my positive attitude and optimism for each and every event has served as an example for people of all ages. After my reign, I know that I have tried my hardest to serve as a positive role model and an outstanding representative for the state of Connecticut and the Miss Connecticut Organization.
