Southington High School sports fans will literally be able to stamp their support for the Blue Knights with an engraved brick paver.
The pavers will be displayed in a combined patio and walkway adjacent to the newly installed turf field. The Turf Committee is offering the bricks to help support the multi-sport field.
“This is one more way people can show support for our school district,” said Dawn Miceli, who suggested the idea to the Turf Committee. “I think it’s going to be very popular.”
Each brick will cost $125 and can be engraved with three lines of type, with 14 characters per line. Only a limited amount of bricks will be sold.
Brick ordering forms are available at the Southington Chamber of Commerce, the Parks Department and at Southington High School.
The Chamber ran a similar engraved brick promotion a while back and Chamber President Art Secondo said the program is always successful.
“This is a good opportunity for people,” he said.
