The Step Saver Observer publications are sponsoring a Pick-A-Pizza in conjunction with the Republican-American and the Citizens News. This bracket-style contest (think March Madness) will pit local pizza places against each other during a five week span. The contest is a single elimination, winner-move-on tournament, ending in the crowning of a Pizza Champion. Weekly winners of each bracket will be determined by who gets the most votes (think American Idol voting). Each winner moves onto the next bracket and is paired with a new competitor, and the voting begins again.
Voters will have opportunity to vote once per email address per day; a random drawing from all the online voters will be held each week for each of the first four weeks, with two winners selected each week, to win a pizza. At end of contest, One Grand Prize Winner and four runner-up winners will be selected randomly from all the voters: Four “runner ups” will each win two pizzas and the Grand Prize Winner will win 16 pizzas.
The winning Pizza place will be featured in the Step Saver Observers, the Republican-American and the Citizens News publications
