Highway Department turns to salting operations, suspends street widening

Main artery widening was temporarily suspended at 08:50 a.m.  The  Highway Department crews have been  diverted to salting operations,  due to the  freezing rain, which has caused icy roadway conditions. It is not known when the crews will return to widening the streets.
