Lincoln College of New England is partnering with area community groups, students and local residents to “jam a Van” with food to help those who might otherwise go hungry over the upcoming 2012 holiday season.
In conjunction with Terryville High School, the Plymouth Community Feed Project and “Kids Against Hunger,” the college is inviting local resident to help Jam the Van full of non-perishable food to help feed families locally, national and globally. Monetary contributions will also be accepted.
Donations can be made at the college’s Southington campus, in front of LeConche Hall until Dec. 15. On Dec. 15 the van will be driven to Plymouth, where the college, along with Terryville High students will help distribute donations and packaged meals for families locally and in other countries.
