Grab your costume, Halloween activities are a go

Halloween will go on this year.

Despite worries that Hurricane Sandy would force the cancellation of Halloween for the second straight year, town officials said Southington is ready for trick-or-treaters this afternoon and evening.

Officials said that all local roads are open and safe for travel. The town has not imposed any restrictions on Halloween activities, but ask that residents just be safe, cautious, and follow basic safety rules.
